agrep software package provides text search tool with support for approximate patterns, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install agrep
agrep is installed in your system.
Make ensure the agrep package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep agrep *
You will get with agrep package name, version, architecture and description in a table
